Where to even start?!? 

With these efts the investing community has greater access to these commodities.  Is that good or bad?  Well with greater access there will be deeper liquidity and more efficient markets.  At the same time there will be a greater potential for massive swings.  With an inefficient market massive swings are still there via the natural virtue of il-liquidity.  We may need to do a comparison of liquid commodities v il-liquid to see, yet that will be difficult to measure.

 

Ok I have no idea what the ramifications of the securitization of commodities mean.  Maybe a higher correlation with the market in general?
